Team Avalon 2025: Three Borough Council Members Are Back On The Ballot
The Team Avalon 2025 theme is simple:
Keep the ball rolling.
Avalon rides a wave of administrative success as Council President Mari Coskey, Councilman Jamie McDermott and Councilman Greg “Chet” Johnson prepare to assume new four-year posts. They run unopposed in the May 13 election. Council Vice President Barbara Juzaitis and Councilman Sam Wierman round out the five-member group.

Who knew that “Under the Sea” could be so much fun? On March 20 and 21, the Drama Club of the Avalon Stone Harbor Schools presented “The Little Mermaid Jr.” to the delight of full houses at Avalon Elementary School. Summer Camps Your Kids Will Love
Learn how to surf or hone your surf skills with Avalon Surf Camp! Campers will surf with instructors who are ISA (International Surf Association) certified. Ocean, beach, and surfing safety instruction will be provided to students at all levels.

Stone Harbor’s new mayor reaps the reward for his grassroots approach to local government. First as Borough Council candidate in 2023 and one year later as prospective mayor, Carney took his political cue from the people. He went door-to-door, asked what they wanted, and listened. Their feedback forged his two victorious platforms.

The Stone Harbor Shiver Attracts All the Cool People
The 2025 Stone Harbor Shiver was another unforgettable weekend filled with laughter, team spirit, and fun!
Once again coinciding with St. Patrick’s Day weekend, festivities kicked off on Friday, March 14, with a Pre-Shiver dinner party at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor complete with an Irish buffet, cash bar, auction, DJ, and 50/50 raffle.

The county’s maintenance plans for the Gravens Thorofare and Leonards Thorofare Bridges on Avalon Boulevard will necessitate Avalon postponing its sand back-passing project, aimed at replenishing the eroded north-end beaches, until June.
