Spring is such a wonderful time of year! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and school is winding down after another year. There is still a lot of fun to be had, though! Spring break is right around the corner. Here are some new titles to keep you entertained until summer arrives.

Spring has finally arrived on the island! The grass is greener, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, and everyone is getting ready for another summer season. Summer will be here before you know it and you’ll hopefully have time to relax with a book in your hand. Here are some of my favorite titles from the winter that you might have missed.

Spring on the island means open windows, salty breezes, and the return of long, leisurely meals with friends and family. As beach houses are prepped for another season, it’s the perfect time to refresh your wine selection with bottles that complement the bright, vibrant flavors of spring.

As the season shifts from the dormancy of winter to the vibrant renewal of spring, many people feel a sense of excitement and possibility. The longer days and budding flowers bring the promise of new energy and growth.

Did you know mushrooms are more closely related to animals than they are to plants?

Animals and fungi share a common ancestor that differentiated from plants more than a billion years ago. Unlike plants that use photosynthesis to make their own food, fungi absorb nutrients from their environment. They also “breathe” in oxygen and expel carbon dioxide like we do.

These lovely ladies have the right idea. In the 1920s, this was the fastest way to get to Cape May Court House. This trolley ran from Stone Harbor to Court House throughout the day.
