As part of Memorial Day Weekend we take time here to remember Private First Class Stephen Ludlam, the first resident of the Seven Mile Beach to lose his life in the line of duty. Stephen was a high school senior who had just turned 18 when he was drafted into World War II. Sadly, the 92nd Street resident was killed in action in France on Jan. 25, 1945.
