At the fire of a shotgun, 128 golfers flooded the Avalon Golf Club course on June 23 to play golf, have fun and raise money for the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children. By the end of the evening, $30,000 was collected.

Featuring children’s activities, crafts and giveaways from 5:30-7pm including face painting, character appearances and more, followed by a live band performance from 7-8:30pm.

Last summer, Nick Hague and his family enjoyed a simple summer: mornings out on the beach, mini golf in the afternoons and dinners at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor. This summer, however, Hague is stationed about 250 miles above Earth on the International Space Station.
