ROB GIULIAN
MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Robert Giulian, son of Karl and Amy Giulian of Stone Harbor, graduated from Middle Township High School and will attend Shippensburg University, where he is planning to major in education. During his four years as an MTHS Panther, Rob was the class president, student council executive officer and a member of the National Honor Society. He was the Italian-American Club vice president, and a member of the Red Cross Club, Key Club and Interact Club. He was captain of the tennis team and helped it win two South Jersey Group 1 titles as the second-winningest player in school history. Rob also was captain of the cross country and swim teams. This summer, Rob is returning to his job at Fred’s Tavern.
LAUREN KAPP
MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Lauren Kapp, daughter of Kevin and Trisha Kapp of Avalon, graduated from Middle Township High School in June. She will attend St. Joseph’s University and is considering majoring in marketing. Lauren attended Avalon Stone Harbor Schools before moving on to MTHS, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, the Key Club and the student council. She also made the honor roll all four years. This summer, she is returning to her job at The Preppy Palm.
HAYLEY QUINN
WILDWOOD CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
Hayley Quinn, daughter of Nicole Jones of Stone Harbor and Scott Quinn of Cape May, graduated from Wildwood Catholic High School. Hayley will attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California and major in fashion merchandising and business management. During her time at Wildwood Catholic High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society and made the honor roll. This summer, she is returning to her summer job at The Spot and working at The Princeton.
EMMA STANFORD
MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Emma Stanford, daughter of Roger and Allison Stanford of Cape May Court House, graduated from Middle Township High School in June. She will attend Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., where she plans to double major in English and environmental studies. She is a graduate of Avalon Stone Harbor Schools. At MTHS, Emma was a varsity soccer starter, a member of the National Honor Society and student council, and helped with Relay For Life. This summer, she is working alongside her mom at the Stone Harbor Golf Club.
CHRIS BAILEY
OCEAN CITY HIGH SCHOOL
Christopher P. Bailey, son of James and Jennifer Bailey of Avalon, graduated from Ocean City High School with distinguished honors. This fall, he will attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he will study aerospace engineering. He received the four-year National ROTC scholarship from the United States Navy and will graduate an officer. At OCHS, Chris was a four-year varsity track and field athlete and a member of the student council and the National Honor Society. An Eagle Scout, Chris’s plans for the summer include a trip to Italy as well as working at Avalon Supermarket and 29th Street Deli.
CHASE DEEGAN
MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Chase Deegan graduated from Middle Township High School in June. The son of Melanie and Douglas Deegan of Stone Harbor Manor, Chase will attend San Diego State University and plans to major in business finance. Throughout his four years at MTHS, Chase was on the varsity soccer team. He was named defensive soccer player of the year and earned nine varsity letters. He was also a member of the National Honor Society and an honor student. This summer, Chase will work at The Watering Hull in Stone Harbor and hit the beach before he heads out west in the fall.
BRIAN HOY
MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Brian Hoy, son of David and Jane Hoy of Stone Harbor, graduated from Middle Township High School in June. Brian ranked second in his class and will attend the University of Maryland this fall. He plans to major in computer science. A graduate of Avalon Stone Harbor schools, Brian served as the webmaster of the Key Club throughout his four years at MTHS. This summer, Brian is working at his dad’s business, Hoy’s 5 & 10, lending a hand in both the company warehouse and the stores.
STEPHEN CORBO
VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY
Stephen Corbo, of Avalon, graduated from Villanova University in May with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in economics. The son of Christine Corbo, of Avalon, and Joseph Corbo, of Ocean City, Stephen was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and played on the club basketball team. Stephen is a graduate of Avalon Elementary School and St. Augustine Preparatory High School. He is pursuing a sports marketing career and hopes to work for a team in Philadelphia or New York.
SEAN METZLER
OCEAN CITY HIGH SCHOOL
Sean Metzler, of Avalon, graduated from Ocean City High School and will attend Stockton University where he plans to study business and major in management. The youngest son of Gregg and Irene Metzler, Sean attended Avalon Elementary School before taking on an accelerated academic career at Ocean City High School as a participant in the district’s Choice Program, graduating in just three years. During his time at OCHS, he founded and was president of Science Club, was awarded second place at the Junior State of America’s East Coast Conquer Debate Tournament and was the school yearbook design editor. He also played outfielder for the Raiders’ baseball team. He started his college career at the age of 15 and will start at Stockton as a sophomore. Sean will continue this hard work throughout the summer, taking more courses, and working with his family’s business, Jewelry Studio, in Stone Harbor. He aspires to attend graduate school in pursuit of an MBA and then to attend law school in the future.
MATTHEW METZLER
OCEAN CITY HIGH SCHOOL (CLASS OF 2017)
Matthew Metzler, of Avalon, graduated from Ocean City High School in 2017 and is attending Stockton University. Matthew, the son of Gregg and Irene Metzler, is pursuing dual bachelor’s degrees in business finance and biochemistry, with an expected graduation in 2021. He was the first student from Seven Mile Beach selected by the Ocean City School District to be a Choice Program participant, which is a program that recruits top academic, athletic, and artistically inclined students to study within their district. While at OCHS, he was on the varsity track and field team and the varsity swim team. He was also a founder of Science Club, a representative for Ocean City’s Model United Nations student organization, content editor for the yearbook, member of the National Honors Society, and Distinguished Honors Student. Matthew is a self-taught pianist and is playing with Stockton University’s jazz ensemble. He plans to attend graduate school after attaining his dual degrees. He is working with his family’s business, Jewelry Studio, in Stone Harbor.
