As we approach the fall and winter seasons on Seven Mile Beach, property owners are often faced with the dilemma of closing up their homes for the season with no one to look after their property. With help of a new business, SEAcurity, owners can have peace of mind while they’re not visiting their home away from home. We met with owner George Vogelei to learn more about SEAcurity.

I started training Fred a few weeks ago. He read an article I wrote for the Seven Mile Times about the importance of sprint training and decided to give me a call. Fred is a competitive sprinter who runs in 100-meter races. He’s been training for sprinting for about 12 years now. Fred is 78 years old.

Still Time for a Crab Feast!
How is it that September is upon us and I have yet to have a crab feast for one more round of outdoor entertaining in the late summer sun?
Fortunately, crabs don’t finish their summer season on Labor Day because our summer cannot officially end without an afternoon of sitting around a newspaper-lined table piled with well-seasoned Number Ones.
The Keys to a Healthier You

Seven Mile Style: A Night Out on the Town (Men’s)
It’s hard to beat a fun summer night out, but fall nights come pretty close. With the crowds gone, and usually the heat, too, it’s a great time to hang out with friends and watch a game or catch the sunset at an outside bar. Fortunately, most places stay open long into the fall, so you have plenty of options to choose from. Whatever you choose to do, you will want to look your best. Global Pursuit is ready to have you dressed from head to toe.
Beach Reads
This summer was full of many new book releases. Actually, there were so many books I wanted to read that I didn’t get to half of the ones on my ever-growing list. The fall is the perfect time to grab a good book and sit on the beach. Things have quieted down, the weather is still perfect, and the kids are back in school.
Signature Cocktail
Although fall is just around the corner, the warm weather will stick around for quite a while and The Watering Hull is just the place to go to enjoy a refreshing cocktail! The Watering Hull offers authentic Caribbean-inspired cuisine and drinks in a laid-back dining atmosphere.

It was easy to take superstar Paul Newman for granted throughout his spectacular movie career.
In decade after decade from the 1950s on, he proved to be a likable, plausible, capable leading man on movie screens everywhere.
Financially Speaking: What is Your Endgame?
Procrastination. Many people are guilty of it – some for their entire lives. When you were young, maybe you didn’t do your homework, or perhaps you didn’t study for the next day’s test, since it was going to snow … but then it didn’t.
