As we approach the fall and winter seasons on Seven Mile Beach, property owners are often faced with the dilemma of closing up their homes for the season with no one to look after their property. With help of a new business, SEAcurity, owners can have peace of mind while they’re not visiting their home away from home. We met with owner George Vogelei to learn more about SEAcurity.

I started training Fred a few weeks ago. He read an article I wrote for the Seven Mile Times about the importance of sprint training and decided to give me a call. Fred is a competitive sprinter who runs in 100-meter races. He’s been training for sprinting for about 12 years now. Fred is 78 years old.

Heading out on the town in the fall is always a fun time on Seven Mile Beach. Most restaurants and bars stay open all through the season. Whether you are itching for a nice dinner, or want to watch the big game with friends, we have you covered from head to toe! The best way to stay comfortable during the fall season is to dress in layers. Temperatures can go from one extreme to the other.

Fall is in the air and now is such a great time to hang out on Seven Mile Beach. The crowds have died down and the weather is perfect. Fortunately, most businesses stay open through the holidays so there is plenty to do! Whether you are strolling the business districts or heading out for dinner at one of our great restaurants, you want to look good.

How is it that September is upon us and I have yet to have a crab feast for one more round of outdoor entertaining in the late summer sun?

Fortunately, crabs don’t finish their summer season on Labor Day because our summer cannot officially end without an afternoon of sitting around a newspaper-lined table piled with well-seasoned Number Ones.

The fall is the perfect time to grab a good book and sit on the beach. Things have quieted down, the weather is still perfect, and the kids are back in school.
