Within the past decade, several breweries and wineries have opened their doors in Cape May County, each offering different styles, atmospheres and signature drinks.

As a surfer, my favorite time of the year is the fall. The ocean reaches its warmest temperatures of the year, and the air is still pleasant and dry.

We are getting near that very sad time of year when summer is coming to a close. As you try to squeeze in the last of the warm beach days and outdoor meals, there are some great wines, not to be missed, perfect for drinking in the summer and into early fall.

As September brings refreshing weather, it is only fitting to enjoy a refreshing cocktail such as the Concord Cooler from Concord Café.

And so it goes, another summer season in the books. We’ve certainly enjoyed our share of sunny, steamy days, and it’s been glorious. But I’ll say what I say every year at this time: September is simply the best.
