Whether you’re planning a date for two, a fun “last fling before the ring” with your bridesmaids and groomsmen or just deciding on a spur-of-the-moment Sunday afternoon this fall, Cape May County is home to several wineries and breweries, each with a unique taste and style.

While some are sad to see summer go, others have come to enjoy September and October on the island and the perfect weather that comes along with it. Many stores and restaurants remain open and with the addition of two recently opened restaurants, along with a luxurious spa coming to Seven Mile this fall, we’re in for a treat this year.

Tom Rossi is a bit of a modern-day Renaissance man. Not only is he the prosecutor in Sea Isle City, he is also a general contractor and has his hands in the oyster business. Now, Rossi can add a new vocation to the list.

The region of Tuscany sits along the Tyrrhenian coast of central Italy. The history of Chianti dates back to the 8th century B.C. Remnants of amphorae show that wine was made then and exported to Southern Italy and Gaul.

And just like that, it’s over. But as they say, when one door closes, another opens. So, while we all lament the close of the official summer season, we can take heart in the delights of fall, including, of course, the start to our beloved football season with all the friends, fun and food that go along with it.
