Is it just me, or does it seem like this summer is just flying by? Slow down just a little because we have lots of informative and entertaining reading here in the Times. So, sit back and dig your feet into the sand and relax.

The good news is that we still have plenty of time remaining to enjoy the beach and lots of time for some great shopping. And speaking of shopping, this issue of Seven Mile Times is the perfect place to begin your next shopping trip. Between our Must Haves, which you absolutely must see, and our annual feature we call She Shops at the Shore, we’ve got you covered. She Shops is where we highlight some of the finest shops here on the Seven Mile Beach that pay special attention to their female customers. So regardless of whether you are a female shopper or someone who shops for a special female, you’re going to want to check it out. And after all that shopping, you will no doubt work up a hearty appetite. We have you covered there, too. New to the Seven Mile Beach this year is Quincy’s Original Lobster Rolls, and the reviews have been amazing!

I know it’s only August, but it’s never too soon to begin thinking about hockey season. Really! Especially when Lord Stanley’s Cup spent a day in the middle of summer here on Seven Mile Beach. We’re proud to welcome back Hockey Hall of Famer Al Morganti to this issue and he’ll tell you all about what the Cup was doing here. In case you haven’t noticed, the renovation on the Pebbles Guest House is complete. And it looks fabulous! We’ll give you an inside look. And if you are into fabulous homes, we also have a sneak preview of the Cape Regional House Tour. Fabulous galore.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to perform on the big stage? You’ll find out right here. We have a special treat this issue: Stone Harbor’s own Holdyn Barder shared a personal journal that he kept for us leading up to and through the Barefoot Country Music Festival. It’s a fun read with interesting insights. And we’ll also help get you ready for Elena Bond’s exhibit at Ocean Galleries. Plus, there are all of the regular features that you’ve come to expect and enjoy in each issue of Seven Mile Times.

Just a reminder to ask you to please remember to shop and dine locally whenever possible. The restaurants and retail establishments on Seven Mile Beach all work hard to make your experience special while visiting. They all appreciate your support. As do we, for taking the time to read Seven Mile Times and for continuing to make us the most popular publication in Avalon and Stone Harbor.

Stay safe and enjoy the remainder of your summer.
