As technology shifted, these rail lines adapted to serve commuters, reshaping the shore’s identity. The Forgotten Holocaust – As Germany entered the colony race in Africa, (albeit somewhat reluctantly) they took over lands that were occupied by the Nama and Herero People., and committed a Genocide against them in Eastern and Southwest Africa. This Power Point and film will examine the lead up to that Genocide  from 1904-1908, and we will discuss how the genocide against the Jews from 1933-1945 was a follow up to what happened in Africa. Familiar names appear during both periods, so can we say that the genocide perpetrated in Africa was a “training ground” for the future?
