ROSES FOR THE ‘REAL MAYOR’
Outgoing Avalon Mayor Marty Pagliughi presents roses to his longtime assistant, Sue Keen, at his retirement luncheon on June 15 that was attended by Borough of Avalon employees. Pagliughi complimented Keen by referring to her as the “real mayor” of Avalon. She served as the mayor’s assistant for 20 of his 32 years in office.

Jack Thomas Forster
Jack Thomas Forster was born May 2 to parents Jennifer and Kyle Forster of Spanish Fort, Ala. He arrived weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 21½ inches long. Jenn is the creative director for Seven Mile Publishing and Kyle is a chief aviation maintenance technician in the U.S. Coast Guard. Jack joins big sister Alexa, who is thrilled to have a new baby brother. The family recently moved to Alabama, where Kyle is stationed.

SCHALL-MILLWARD NUPTIALS
Holly Schall married Christian Millward on May 21 at the Wells Memorial Presbyterian Church in Avalon. The reception followed at the Avalon Yacht Club overlooking the back bay. Holly is the daughter of Robin and Stephen Schall of Avalon, and works as a first-grade teacher at Imagine School at North Manatee in Palmetto, Fla. Christian is the son of Carolyn and Dr. Edward Millward of Cream Ridge, N.J. Christian is beginning his third year as a dental student at LECOM in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. The couple’s love story began several years ago at Messiah University. Immediately following the wedding, they spent a few nights at ICONA Avalon. They plan to go to Aruba for their honeymoon when they have time off from school.
