Let's Party, Seven Mile Style: There's a Full Slate of Entertainment Here in July

Seven Mile Beach has so much to offer for those here on vacation and those who choose to live here all year-round. Here you will find the most beautiful beaches, unlimited opportunities for water sports, amazing restaurants, and plenty of things to do, rain or shine. You will also find some of the best night spots right here on the island. If you want to dance the night away with a group of friends or have a quiet date night on the water, you will find everything you need right here.

In Avalon, Bobby Dee’s Rock ’n Chair at 2409 Dune Drive has everything you need for a one-stop night. Enjoy dinner in the restaurant before dancing to some top-notch entertainment acts. All summer long on Monday nights, Steve Tulli will be playing at 7pm, Tuesday nights it’s Rob Lipkin at 7pm, Wednesday nights is Mark Fisher and Thursday nights is Matt McPherson. Every Friday night, stop in for a game of Quizzo! On Saturday nights, the entertainment switches between the Corner Boys & Co, Dave Turner, and Jeff Perlman. There will be special appearances by The Seabillys on July 15 and Aug. 12. Both dates they will start at 8:30. Every Sunday night, you can end the weekend with Johnny’s Cousin Steve, coming on at 7pm. There will be a special night with Dueling Pianos on July 2, starting at 8pm. When the weather is this beautiful, who wants to be inside? Fortunately, the Sandbar Village, located at the beautiful ICONA Avalon, 125 79th St., is right on the beach. You can listen to live music from 4-8pm every night of the week all summer long with your toes in the sand! Acoustic acts playing this summer include Quixote Project, The Zone, Ryan Shubert, Aloha My Broha, and more. Local favorite Sean Loosh will be on stage every Saturday to keep the crowd entertained. Every Sunday is Raggae night with an earlier start of 3pm. The Raggamuffins will be in the house on July 2, 16, and 30. Other Sunday night acts include Ear Me Now and Brother Jerome. Summer highlights include Keep the Change playing almost every Monday night in July and local boy Nolan Quinn will be rocking out on July 4 and 11. Just a short walk over to the next block is the ICONA Windrift. Also located right on the beach, this is the ideal place to go for happy hour, dinner, and musical entertainment. Every night of the week, someone will be on the piano in the Signature Lounge. Monday, Thursday, and Saturday nights the popular Jim Bannach is in the house. Wednesday night it’s Doug Jennings, and Tuesday, Friday and Sunday nights it’s Darin MacDonald. If you are looking for more of a party atmosphere, head up to Level 1 for live bands every weekend. The music starts at 9:30pm except for the Juliano Brothers, who begin at 4pm. Speaking of the Juliano Brothers, they will be on-site playing the latest in bar favorites every Sunday all summer long. Other hit bands include The Zone, Big House Band and the infamous Chatterband, playing on July 15, July 21, Aug. 12, and Aug. 25. If country is your thing, then grab your hat and throw on your cowboy boots because Shot of Southern will be in the house playing all of your favorites on July 22. Right in the center of Stone Harbor is Fred’s Tavern, 314 96th St.. Fred’s has been a popular night spot for decades. Although the scene has changed over the years, one thing hasn’t, and that is that Fred’s always has the best in entertainment for you. Now you can grab a bite to eat while you are there. There is live music every Thursday through Sunday, and Quizzo on Monday nights. The Fourth of July weekend kicks off with Ray Coleman on July 1, followed by Kim n Toni on July 2 and Mike Thompson on July 3. Mike Thompson will be back in the house on July 8 and Kim n Tonic return on July 27. Other musical guests include local boy Nolan Quinn, Nick Horn, Jay LaBoy, Joe O’Brien and more! If you are heading toward North Wildwood, make a pit stop at The Lazy Bass Bayside Bar & Grill on the way. Located at 5 Old North Wildwood Blvd. East, The Lazy Bass is right on the water and the ideal spot to hang with friends and catch the sunset. Every day for lunch and every night for dinner, there are food trucks on site so the variety of food choices is always changing. At The Bass, there is live music every night of the week. On Saturday and Sunday nights, there is a band that plays for happy hour and then another one that plays later into the evening. Summer highlights include Mike Thompson July 2 and 16, Bryen O’Boyle July 6, Sean Loosh July 17, and The Seabillys on July 22. Other musicians performing over the summer include Goodman Fisk, Kevin Kirk, Matt Quinton, and Mike Beck. Nick Horn will be in the house every Wedmesday night.
