Letter from the Editor
Dear Readers:
Let me be the first to wish you the very best of this 2024 holiday season. We try to make sure that every issue of the Seven Mile Times is entertaining and informative, but this issue is PACKED! If you are planning to spend any time on the Seven Mile Beach between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, be sure to check out this issue. We are the most complete guide to what’s happening in Stone Harbor and Avalon. After all, who knows this island better than the Seven Mile Times?
And if you haven’t already discovered it, you’ll soon learn how our little summer paradise transforms into a magical place for the holidays. Over the past two decades, both towns have worked hard to create extra-special experiences that allow your family to establish their own holiday traditions here in Avalon and Stone Harbor that they’ll treasure for a lifetime. Summer is a blast, but the holidays here are simply magical.
So, start making your plans. There are activities for everyone. Lots of great restaurants and retail shops in both towns remain open throughout the holidays. The magic begins Thanksgiving weekend.
And speaking of Thanksgiving, we here at Seven Mile Times have so much to be thankful for. First and foremost, we are thankful for you, our readers. You have made Seven Mile Times the most popular publication here on Seven Mile Beach. We realize that your time is valuable and that’s why we appreciate the fact that you’ve chosen to spend your time reading the Times.
We are also so thankful for our advertisers. They make it possible for us to publish the Times, mail it to your home, and make it widely available to everyone locally at no cost to you. Please be sure to take the time to visit our local businesses. Now is a great time to work on that holiday gift list. Regardless of the service that they provide, every business here works hard year-round to make your time here on the island special.
Please, regardless of what you celebrate, have an amazing holiday season and I extend our wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year. By the way, if you haven’t already, be sure to like the Seven Mile Times’ Facebook page. It’s the best way to stay in touch with what happens here during the winter months.
Merry Christmas and the happiest of holidays!
Sincerely,
Monica Coskey
