How much do you know about penguins? You’ll know a lot more after meeting one at the tennis building! During this program presented by Jenkinson’s Aquarium, kids will meet an African Penguin (from a safe distance) and learn how the aquarium’s keepers work with them on a daily basis, what they eat, what their favorite enrichment is, and so much more!

Florist Kim Ryon will lead the workshop in which participants will take a typical grocery store bouquet, disassemble it, and arrange it with style and flair. An Evening with Maud Dahme | 5pm, Avalon Elementary School Gym
Born in the Netherlands, Maud Dahme was one of the Dutch “hidden children.” She survived the Holocaust and came to the United States at the age of 14. The evening will include a lecture and screening of “The Hidden Child,” a documentary that details Dahme’s own story of courage, hope and bravery in the face of evil and death.

In his book, “Slices of Americana: A Road Trip Through American Baseball History,” author Jason Love tells the stories of baseball road trips to the Hall of Fame, the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum, the former home of legendary Negro League player Judy Johnson, and more. It is a memoir that offers tips and tidbits of baseball history. He will also be speaking about the Phillies and show historic baseball items from his collection.
