And the movies that preoccupied and entertained us that summer painted a vivid portrait of life in an era that sometimes seems the distant past but that also sometimes seems a week ago Tuesday.

Oh, August, how I love you so! On the days when it’s just too hot to do anything else, I love to dive into a good book, hopefully while floating on a body of water somewhere. I have read so many great thrillers lately and can’t wait to share them with you.
